It has been all but confirmed at Apple will be announcing the new iPhone 5S on September 10th, with the official release coming some time after that. Now, reports are coming in that three of the largest carriers in the US have begun disallowing vacations for employees on the dates following the announcement.

T-mobile has reportedly cancelled all employee vacations from September 20-22, in order for them to have enough staff to deal with the iPhone 5S launch. AT&T has also blacked out their vacation days. BGR reports:

Multiple sources have informed BGR that AT&T has blacked out vacation days for the second half of September in preparation for the iPhone 5S launch date. This has taken place every single year starting with the first iPhone launch…

Verizon, too, has disallowed vacation days for September 18th-22nd, and with the big three iPhone carriers all emulating each other, it is clear that something big is coming. Stay tuned on September 10th for our full coverage of the iPhone event.
