Best Buy Offering $50 Off The iPhone 5

Adrian D'Urso December 9, 2012 6

Recently, Best Buy began taking $50 off the iPhone 5 for what looks to be a holiday special. This deal will not stack with their previous $25 giftcard reward that they introduced a few weeks ago. They havent announced  how long the change will last so we recommend you act soon if you are plaining on using it. While $50 is not a lot in the grand scheme of buying an iPhone it may have a big impact for some in deciding whether or not to buy an iPhone 5, or go with the discounted iPhone 4. The actual price of having an iPhone is a lot greater when you think about it, the cost of the phone service, messaging, data, apps, accessories, possible insurance, tax, and upgrade fees adds up fast. In my personal opinion I would always recommend buying the newest iPhone, even if only for only resalability. While the price is advertised as $150, don’t forget that you will end up spending a lot more.

yeah its $550 WITH a 2 year contract. But you are saving $50 still on the regular 2 year contract price

Smh everyone knows $699 is the FULL retail value for the phone. Obviously you get the iPhone 5 at $199 with a new two year agreement and Best Buy is offering $50 off of THAT price!!! They show the full retail amount so consumers can see what the phone is ACTually worth vs what they’d ACTually pay for it IF they chose to get it at Best Buy. It’s a marketing technique!
