BrightnessPlug Allows For Custom Brightness When You Plug In Your Device

Tom Richardson July 23, 2012 2

Everyone has a custom brightness which they use for everyday iPhone / iPod/ iPad usage. It’s more habit than anything else, for me, it’s about halfway in between – as I feel like I am conserving battery whilst still being able to see my screen perfectly.

However you may have noticed that if your device is plugged into power, you don’t need to keep it on a lower brightness. Cue ‘BrightnessPlug’.

BrightnessPlug is a new jailbreak tweak which allows the user to add ‘extra’ brightness to your device, when it is plugged into power. This works pretty well for people who want more brightness, but what about people who want less? I generally plug my phone in at night, which means I want a dimmer phone, not a brighter one! However I have spoken to the developer about this, and he has told me he is planning to release a kind of ‘reverse’ mode for such an occasion.

If you’re interested in what it has to offer, BrightnessPlug can be downloaded from Cydia’s ModMyi repo for free!
