
Apple has finally released iOS 6 to the public, and it is available for download now. Some of you will be able to update by plugging in your phone to your computer and clicking “Check for update”. If that doesn’t work, just use the download links below, and Shift+Click (Option+Click on a Mac) the “Check for update” or “Update” button and browse for the IPSW file (download links after the break).

News on the iOS 6 jailbreak has been scarce, but at least for A4 devices (iPhone 4, 3GS, and iPod Touch 4) a tethered jailbreak should be out shortly. As far as the rest of the devices are concerned, it could be a long while before we see any development on the jailbreak front, so stay tuned and keep checking back to see if someone is close to getting iOS 6 jailbroken.
