Reports made by Daiwa Securities analyst indicate that the next generation iPhone will be announced at the World Wide Developers Conference in June this year similarly to many of the past announcements. Although it is not sure why the 4S was delayed, there is good probability that it was due to manufacturing delays in Japan, and this will not be a recurring problem. The new iPhone is said to to feature a glass to glass touch panel technology that will benefit current touch pannel suppliers. The exact date for WWDC this year had not been announced, however, it is generally held in june. Furthermore, the 6/11-6/15 three level reservation is seen as a possible plans for the conference. It will be interesting to see what advancements Apple can implement into the new device in under a year.
