Apple’s standard notification banners have always looked a little under par, no doubt that is what inspired such jailbreak tweaks like ‘NotiPad‘. The latest one to hit Cydia of this nature, is ‘MiniBanners’. It turns your iPhone’s notifications into a small version of themselves, and it actually looks rather good! Cartoony, somehow. I was using mine in collaboration with the iPhone theme ‘Ayecon‘, which helped since the icons look all the more awesome. Check out the video below to see it in action:
The only obvious downside of this tweak, is that you no longer get a preview of what that notification entails. For example, you don’t know what the content of a text is. However for someone who likes to go straight to the app of a notification anyway, this isn’t much of an issue though. It’s also totally free, so if you have those issues – you can uninstall it, no harm done. It’s available from the ModMyi repo if you’d like to check it out.
