Apple has made some major improvements to the Apple TV over the years, and the small black box it is now is much better than the large silver one it started out as. However, in the past months, we have not seen a whole lot of developments for the Apple TV. Some people say that this is because Apple is working on a full fledged television, with screen and all, a rumor that has been around for the past year or so. Today though, Apple TV fans can enjoy a brand new feature that surfaced in the lates iOS beta.
According to reports, this newest release supports a feature that many people have been anticipating: Bluetooth keyboards. Up until now, Apple TV users had to enter search queries or WiFi passwords with the simple keypad remote (quite a pain, if you’ve never tried it), or sync the device with their iPhone with Apple’s remote app. Now users can type and control their Apple TV solely through the use of a Bluetooth keyboard.
Bluetooth support beyond this one capability is still missing, but this speaks well to the future of Apple TV, and shows that Apple has not completely left it behind. Hopefully this feature will stick around for the public release! What is your opinion on this new update? Leave us a comment below.
