The new iMac was released in mid-October at Apple’s iPad mini Press Event. We were not expecting this, but they did some serious aesthetic revamps. For starters, they minimized the bezel to a .5mm edge. In perspective, that’s crazy thin! Furthermore, the screen resolution has now been bumped up to 1920 by 1080 with a bit extra clarity. The main new change in the iMac is fact that they can account for the thinness. If we take a closer look at the design, we can see a bulge enclosing the internals of the computer. Regardless, Apple stated that the 21.5-inch models would start at $1199, and start shipping by November 27th, 2012. For the 27-inch, it would start at $1699, and ship sometime in December. In the end, we hope Apple can start shipping this month, and that this news was just a media-stunt. Be sure to check out all the details in the video above!

wow I’m sensing a lot of fanboyizm here. not that it’s necessarily a bad thing… but perfection and revolutionary, and mac all in the same sentence? ip5, ios6, nuff said. it’s gone downhill after Jobs passed :/

    5mm edge I guess, not .5mm.
