I’m a huge fan of rocking my iPhone naked. I rarely do however, due to the fact that I tend to sell my devices after I’ve used them out. This being said, whenever I get the chance to do so, I relish the opportunity to experience the iPhone in the way it was supposed to be experienced. Because of this, when Spigen announced that they had updated their GLAS.t line with iPhone 5 compatibility I jumped on it ASAP. If you’re unfamiliar with the GLAS.t, it’s a single solid piece of tempered glass, which sits on the top of your iPhone and will take the brunt of any drops or scratches so that your screen won’t have to. My full video review of the GLAS.tR is below:
The difference between the GLAS.t and the GLAS.tR is simply that the R has rounded edges to minimise issues with case compatibility. It also feels more comfortable – in my opinion, way worth the $7 upgrade between the two. If I had to highlight any negative with the protectors, is they they pack quite a high price for what they are. The GLAS.t comes in at $28, whereas the R is slightly more expensive at $35. However when you realise that this is simply the best screen protector on the market, it’s a small price to pay. It feels like an extension on your phone, and it’s hard to remember that the extra millimetre addition is actually external.
