As I’m sure many of you are aware, last Monday at their September 2013 press event, Apple officially announced the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c. Whilst this was what most of us expected with this event, it didn’t quite fit all of our expectations. The iPhone 5c was billed to be a ‘budget’ version of the iPhone 5, which would go on sale at around the $300 mark to consolidate Apple’s presence into emerging markets. This isn’t exactly what happened. Instead, Apple priced the iPhone 5c at $549. Personally I think this pricing has missed the mark by a long shot, here are my opinions:
It’s pretty much summed up when you state that for an extra $100, you get access to a fingerprint scanner, metal build quality, a much improved camera and a significant speed boost. It seems more or less common sense to go for the 5s as your first choice, the only thing the 5c has going for it is the colour selection. Which one are you going to buy?
