As I’m sure you’re aware, Apple released the new iteration of their mobile operating system just two days ago, iOS 7. What’s particularly interesting about this software release, is the fact that they have taken many queues from the Jailbreaking community and incorporated them into the stock software itself. There’s an absolute host of new features, most of which are smaller, less significant upgrades, however there are a few changes which really shine. I decided to compile a list of my top 5 new features in iOS 7, and the video can be found below:
Apple have totally redesigned their operating system. Of course the core functionality is still there, it feels like it has the same framework, but everything that was familiar about iOS is pretty much gone. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as the OS was definitely becoming stale. Apple have answered many of our requests in this upgrade, such as supplying quick toggles (see video), and on the whole I feel relatively happy with how iOS 7 has turned out.
Of course, this is still very preliminary stages, as iOS 7 is only in it’s first beta. We will of course keep you up to date on any changes that occur in the firmware upgrades that are sure to come.
